ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO. 58-17-12 <br />of the <br />Public Works Department <br />City of Eugene, Oregon <br />DELEGATING AUTHORITY TO ANIMAL WELFARE OFFICERS TO <br />ISSUE PARK NOTICES OF RESTRICTION OF USE. <br />The Executive Director of the Public Works Department of the City of Eugene finds <br />that: <br />A. Pursuant to the authority of Administrative Order No. 21-03-12 issued by the City <br />Manager, the Executive Director of the Public Works Department is authorized to regulate City <br />parks, protect park visitors and the park environment, and adopt rules regarding the use of parks. <br />On April 28, 2016, the City Manager issued Administrative Order No. 21-16-04 reaffirming me <br />as the Executive Director of the Public Works Department. <br />B. On April 18, 2016, I issued Administrative Order No. 58-16-05-F adopting <br />amended Park Rules. Park Rule 1.005(3)(a) and (b) provide that, under certain circumstances, <br />persons may be issued notices of restriction of park use which prohibits, for a specific period of <br />time, their use of City parks, open space or facilities, participation in City sponsored programs or <br />activities, and revokes licenses or permits issued that permitted participation in City sponsored <br />park activities. <br />C. Park Rule 1.005(3)(c) provides that notices of restriction of park use under Park <br />Rule 1.005(3)(a) and (b) shall be issued by the Public Works Executive Director or designee. <br />D. ` It would be more efficient to delegate my authority to issue notices of restriction <br />of park use under Park Rule 1.005(3)(a) and (b) to the City's Animal Welfare Officers. <br />On the basis of these findings, I order that Eugene Police Department Animal Welfare <br />Officers are authorized to issue notices of restriction of park use under Park Rule 1.005(3)(a) and <br />(b). <br />Dated and effective this 4/14 -ay of �'/��_ , 2017. <br />Kurj Corey <br />Public Works ExecutiveD rector <br />Administrative Order - Page 1 of 1 <br />
