MINUTES <br /> <br /> Eugene City Council <br /> Boards, Commission, and Committees Interviews <br /> McNutt Room--City Hall <br /> <br /> November 30, 2000 <br /> 5p.m. <br /> <br />COUNCILORS PRESENT: Scott Meisner, Gary Rayor, David Kelly, Nancy Nathanson, Gary <br /> Pap~. <br /> <br />COUNCILORS ABSENT: Betty Taylor, Bonny Bettman, Pat Fart. <br /> <br />BOARDS, COMMISSIONS, AND COMMITTEE INTERVIEWS <br /> <br />Councilors interviewed the following applicants for positions on the Citizen Charter Review <br />Committee: Chris Pryor, Marlene Colbath, Ken Tollenaar, Freeman Holmer, Phyllis Loobey, <br />Samuel Frear, Robert Cassidy, Susan Ban, Matthew Donahue, Kevin Wells, Jon Belcher, Virginia <br />Thompson, Bern Johnson, Bob ©'Brien, John Arnold, and Charles Henry. <br /> <br />Each applicant was asked the following questions: <br /> 1. What is your understanding of the role, function, and authority of the City Charter? <br /> <br /> 2. How do you propose to involve, listen to, and educate the public in this charter review process? <br /> <br /> 3. The City Council has designated specific areas of the charter for review. In your opinion, which <br /> areas of the charter should be given highest priority and why? <br /> <br /> 4. Do you have positions on any or all of the charter issues in the committee's charge, such as the <br /> role of council/mayor/manager, City Attorney, contracting, conflicts, etc. ? <br /> <br />The interview session adjourned at 9:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Respectfully submitted, <br /> <br />James R.
