<br />ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO. 57-07-02 <br />City of Eugene, Oregon <br /> <br />Under section 16(2) of the Eugene Charter of 1976, the City Manager is given authority <br />to make purchases and act as the business agent for the City Council in connection with <br />the sale of real estate and other business and commercial transactions. The City Manager <br />previously delegated portions of this authority to the various city department Executive <br />Directors or their designees. <br /> <br />The City intends to: <br /> <br />A. Provide for the uniform and consistent processing of contracts. <br />B. Minimize the time and attention required of the Executive Director for <br />routine contracts. <br />C. Clearly define areas of responsibility with regard to the initiation, <br />execution, and administration of contracts. <br /> <br />Based on the above, the Executive Director of the Library, Recreation and Cultural <br />Services (LRCS) Department orders that: <br /> <br />1. The following designees are delegated authority to execute contracts less than <br />the following amounts: <br /> <br />Designee <br />LRCS Administrative Director <br />Recreation Services Division Director <br />Cultural Services Division Director <br />Library Services Division Director <br />Recreation Services Youth & Family Services Manager <br /> <br />Amount <br />$50,000 <br />$25,000 <br />$25,000 <br />$25,000 <br />$25,000 <br /> <br />2. The following designee is delegated the authority to execute expenditure <br />authorization and purchase card requests and updates: <br /> <br />Designee <br />LRCS Administrative Director <br /> <br />3. The signing and dating of this Administrative Order replaces Administrative <br />Order 57-06-02 and any other order in conflict herewith is repealed.
