MINUTES & <br />NOTICE OF BOARD ACT <br />LANE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />This document, upon approval in a public meeting by the Board of County Commissioners, <br />serves as official minutes of such meetings as required under the Open Meetings Law, ORS 192. 650. <br /> <br />Pursuant to notice made by mailing agendas to news media, a selected list of jurisdictions and <br />individuals in Lane County, a meeting of the Board of Commissioners was held. <br /> <br />Questions should be directed to the Board Office Specialist 3, ext. 4203. <br />April 14, 1999 JOINT ELECTED OFFICIALS MEETING Lane County <br />5:00 p.m. BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS Fairgrounds <br /> EUGENE CITY COUNCIL <br /> SPRINGFIELD CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />Commissioner Bobby Green, Sr., presided with Commissioners Anna Morrison, Peter Sorenson and <br />Cindy Weeldreyer present. Bill Dwyer was excused. County Administrator Bill Van Vactor, <br />Assistant County Counsel Stephen Vorhes and Recording Secretary Melissa Zimmer were also <br />present. <br /> <br />Mayor Jim Torrey, Scott Meisner, Nancy Nathanson, Betty Taylor, Pat Farr, David Kelly, Gary <br />Rayor, Gary Papd were present for the City of Eugene. <br /> <br /> 1. INTRODUCTIONS <br /> <br /> Mayor Jim Torrey, City of Eugene, presiding, called the meeting to order and introduced the <br /> Eugene City Council. Commissioner Bobby Green opened the Lane County Board of <br /> Commissioners meeting. Green announced that Commissioner Bill Dwyer was excused. <br /> Mayor Maureen Maine, City of Springfield, opened the Springfield City Council meeting. <br /> <br /> Eugene City Councilor Scott Meisner, announced they had an item on their agenda, an <br /> appointment to the Board of Directors to the Lane Workforce Partnership. He moved to <br /> table that appointment until the April 21 council meeting. Eugene City Councilor Nancy <br /> Nathanson SECONDED. The motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> Jim Carlson, Lane Council of Governments, reported that the presentation came out of a <br /> request by Councilor Ken Tollenar for local elected officials in the Metro Area.
