CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />The adjourned April 21, 1999, Eugene City Council meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. ~n <br />the Mayor's absence, Council President Scott Meisner presided. <br /> <br /> II. HUMAN RIGHTS COMMISSION INTERVIEWS <br /> <br />The following applicants were invited to interview for appointment to the Human Rights <br />Commission: <br /> <br />Raquel Hecht <br />Will Blasher, Jr. <br />Don Addison <br />Charles Smith <br />Nadia Sindi <br />Sara Rich <br />Ilisa Rooke-Ley <br />Carol Calkins <br />Robert Zenuch <br />Andrea Ortiz <br />phone interview with Laura Stockford. <br /> <br />Mr. Meisner welcomed each Human Rights Commission candidate to his/her scheduled interview <br />and introduced the councilors present. He explained that each interview would last 15 minutes <br />and councilors would ask a total of 4 questions. Mr. Meisner indicated that absent members of <br />the council would have tape recordings of the interviews and copies of candidates' applications <br />made available to them and the council would make its decision at its meeting on May 10. <br />Councilors posed the following questions: <br /> <br /> 1. What are your specific ideas to address the important issues facing members of <br /> vulnerable communities in Eugene? <br /> <br /> lA.
