MINUTES OF JOINT PUBLIC HEARING WITH <br />EUGENE CITY COUNCIL <br />METROPOLITAN POLICY COMMITTEE <br />LANE TRANSIT DISTRICT BOARD OF DIRECTORS <br />Tuesday, February 8, 2011 <br />Pursuant to notice given to The Register -Guard for publication on February 3, 2011, and <br />distributed to persons on the mailing list of the District; the Eugene City Council, the <br />Metropolitan Policy Committee, and the Lane Transit District Board of Directors held a public <br />hearing on Tuesday, February 8, 2011, beginning at 5:30 p.m., at the Hellman - Wilder Room of <br />the Hilton Eugene Hotel and Conference Center at 66 East Sixth Avenue, Eugene. <br />Present: <br />Eugene City Council <br />Metropolitan Policy Committee <br />Mayor Kitty Piercy <br />Hillary Wylie, Chair <br />Betty Taylor, President <br />Jay Bozievich <br />George Brown <br />Sonny Chickering <br />Mike Clark <br />Greg Evans <br />Pat Farr <br />Mike Eyster <br />George Poling <br />Sid Leiken <br />Chris Pryor <br />Christine Lundberg <br />Sheri Moore <br />Absent: <br />Kitty Piercy <br />Andrea Ortiz <br />Mark Pangborn, ex officio member, <br />Alan Zelenka <br />and LTD General Manager <br />Jon Ruiz, ex officio member <br />Lane Transit District: <br />and Eugene City Manager <br />Mike Eyster, President <br />Greg Evans <br />Absent: <br />Dean Kortge <br />Gino Grimaldi <br />Ed Necker <br />Alan Zelenka <br />Michael Dubick <br />John Thiel <br />Liane Richardson <br />Absent: <br />Don Schuessler <br />Gary Gillespie <br />Doris Towery <br />WELCOME, INTRODUCTIONS, AND ROLL CALL — Mayor Piercy welcomed everyone and <br />introduced the members of the Eugene City Council. <br />Ms. Wylie welcomed those present and asked members of the Metropolitan Policy Committee <br />(MPC) to stand and identify themselves. <br />Mr. Eyster welcomed everyone. He introduced the Lane Transit District Board members and called <br />roll. He explained that all three bodies were present at the public hearing because all of the bodies <br />would have to approve any action on the proposed West Eugene EmX, and it would be helpful for all <br />of the representatives to hear the same information from the public. <br />
