More than 500
people attended the event which featured sale items hand-crafted by patrons and a silent auction of items donated by
individuals and local businesses. The proceeds will be used to support adult and senior
activities at the center. Campbell staff estimate the event brought in more than $6,750,
including two prize items.

Two footballs were silent auction items deemed so valuable that the bidding for them was
continued until Monday, Nov. 25. The footballs, one signed by Eli Manning and the other signed
by his big brother, Peyton Manning, both quarterbacks in the National Football League, were
brand new balls with tags still attached and were donated by Mike Reddy, a regular presenter
at Campbell Center, who personally obtained the autographs. The balls sold for $205 each.

For more information, contact Recreation Manager Diane Sconce at 541-682-5318.

Nutcracker for Kids at Eugene Public Library
In December, all locations of the Eugene Public Library will host free opportunities for children and family to learn about
and enjoy the classic Nutcracker ballet as performed by the Eugene Youth Ballet.

Costumed dancers will share a taste of the Nutcracker at Family Storytimes at the
Bethel Branch on Friday, Dec. 6, at 10:15 a.m., and at the Sheldon Branch on Friday,
Dec. 13, at 10:15 a.m.

On Wednesday, Dec. 11, the full troupe will perform The Nutcracker: Short & Suite, a
child-sized version of the complete ballet, at the Downtown Library at 4 and 6 p.m.
Travel the globe with these dancers and dream of sugarplums all night!

Admission to all events is free of charge.
