PaMng Area: Any area which can be used by motor vehicles, recreational vehicles, trailers, <br />and boats for parking, including driveways and access aisles providing access to the parking <br />stalls. <br />Pollutant: An elemental or physical product that can be mobilized by water or air and <br />creates a negative impact on the environment Pollutants include suspended solids <br />(sediment), heavy metals (such as lead, copper, zinc, and cadmium), nutrients (such as <br />nitrogen and phosphorus), bacteria and viruses, organics - (such as oil, .grease, <br />hydrocarbons, pesticides, and fertilizers), floatable debris, and increased temperature. <br />Post-Developed Condition: A project's site plan of impervious surface and landscaping <br />after development <br />Pre- DeMoped Condition: The project site's surface conditions prior to the proposed <br />development <br />Privat* Engineered Public Improvement (PEPI): A publicly maintained facility that is <br />designed, constructed, and financed by a private developer, entity, or its agent. <br />Public Works Project: Any development conducted or financed by a local, state, or federal <br />governmental body and includes local improvements and public improvements. <br />Retention Facility: A facility designed to receive and hold stormwater runoff. Rather than <br />storing and releasing the entire runoff volume, retention facilities permanently retain a <br />portion of the water on -site; where it infiltrates, evaporates, or is absorbed by surrounding <br />vegetation.
