If important to immediate post-earthquake <br />operations, suitable lateral restraints should be added to the attached pipes (carefully not <br />to increase seismic loads on weaker parts of the system. <br /> <br /> Figure 2-21. Vertical Pumps <br /> <br /> Figure 2-22 shows two overhead horizontal pressure tanks rated to 125 psi at 350°F. <br /> Their nameplates indicate they were installed in 1962. These are likely part of the stem <br /> heat system.
