2.4 Land and Development <br /> <br />The Cities of Eugene and Springfield share a metropolitan Urban Growth Boundary <br />(UGB) for planning purposes. About 71% of the total area is developed, with 29% <br />undeveloped. Of the developed land, the predominant land use is residential, with <br />commercial, industrial and parks being the next largest land use categories. <br /> <br />2.5 Housing in the Eugene/Springfield [rvletro Area. <br /> <br />The 2000 Census and the Region 2050 reports both contain data on housing in the <br />Eugene/Springfield Metro Area.
