<br />PLANNED DOWNTOWN DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS <br /> <br />Whole Foods Market <br /> <br />Whole Foods Market has plans to locate a <br />52,000 square foot store in Downtown as part <br />of a full-block development on East <br />Broadway. Whole Foods will incorporate <br />twQ levels of parking above the store. This <br />$25 million public/private partnership will <br />also include an adjacent public parking <br />garage with ground floor commercial space. Whole Foods is anticipated to become a <br />major anchor for future development in the East Broadway district and to playa <br />critical role in the enhancement of Downtown's connection to the Willamette River. <br /> <br /> <br />WestTown on 8th <br /> <br />The City of Eugene recently transferred ownership of <br />a downtown development site to Metropolitan <br />Affordable Housing Corporation to construct 111 <br />apartment units in a six story building. The site is <br />located on 8th A venue, between Charnelton Street and <br />Lincoln Street, adjacent to the WOW Hall performing <br />arts venue.
