OREGON CULTURAL RESOURCE INVENTORY <br /> CITY OF EUGENE <br /> <br /> HISTORIC NAME: CHI PSI FRATERNITY T/R/S# 17 3 32 NW 1/4 SW 1/4 <br /> ADDRESS: 1018 HILYARD ST TAXLOT: 7700 <br /> <br />1018 Hilyard was built between 1955 and 1955, as Chi Psi <br />Fraternity, which it remains today. This site was occupied by a <br />different building in the 1920's, a local University of Oregon rr, en's <br />club, There were repairs caused by a fire in 1945, and unspecified <br />repairs in 1950. New electric service was added in 1933. This <br />building is an example of the Arts and Crafts style and shows good <br />detail and craftsmanship, It has high to moderate integrity; a <br />sm'all addition on the NW side was added during the 1970's. The <br />building is sited along and faces the Millrace, including terraces <br />and a boat landing.
