Examples of this include thc same truck company of three <br /> personnel performing forcible entry, then ventilation, salvage, and overhaul. On the other hand, <br /> there may be instances where a second crew needs to relieve thc first fire attack crew prior to the <br /> task being completed. <br /> Secondary support functions include: <br /> o Salvage (functions which prevent further property damage from occurring) <br /> o Overhaul (functions which ensure that the fire is completely extinguished) <br /> o Firefighter rehabilitation <br /> o Breathing air supply, equipment maintenance, and on-scene lighting support activities <br /> Secondary support functions may be performed by: <br /> o Fire suppression companies reassigned after initial deployment task completion <br /> o Dual-Role Medic Unit personnel <br /> o Additional fire suppression companies called to the scene specifically for this purpose <br /> o Logistics personnel who have been called to the scene to provide air re-supply, lighting <br /> and rehab <br /> o Single-role emergency medical personnel <br /> <br /> 41 <br /> <br /> <br />
