Sidewalks adjacent to roadside stormwater facilities shall be designed to accommodate <br />specified maximum facility slopes per the Stormwater Management Manual. <br />Stormwater quality facilities without a barrier curb shall be separated from the sidewalk <br />with a 12 -inch shoulder graded at 2% or less. <br />D. Lighting <br />See Section 2.05 for applicable lighting requirements. <br />E. Locations <br />When an exception has been approved allowing sidewalks on only one side of the street, - <br />the sidewalks shall be located within the development on the side of the street where <br />on -street parking is permitted. In cases where a single sidewalk is allowed due to.physical <br />constraints, such as wetlands or trees, the sidewalk shall be located on the side opposite <br />from the constraints. <br />The design of the sidewalks shall ensure safe and accessible routes to bus stop locations. <br />The location of the bus stop shall be coordinated with the Lane Transit district. Sidewalk <br />design shall provide an accessible path of travel through the bus stop locations. All bus <br />stops shall be design in accordance with the 2011 Proposed Accessibility Guidelines for <br />Pedestrian Facilities in the Public Right -of -Way as published by the United States Access <br />Board (located on the internet at www.access-board.gov). <br />F. Sidewalk Bicycle Parking <br />Short term bicycle parking should be placed on the sidewalks where a minimum clear <br />distance of 8 feet is provided between the bicycle rack and the back of sidewalk. The <br />inverted "U" rack shall be used for all on street bike parking. Racks installed on the <br />sidewalk or furnishing zone shall be a minimum of the 2 feet from the face of curb. <br />Inverted "U" racks shall be placed a minimum of 4 feet apart when placed horizontally <br />along the curb. Racks installed on the sidewalks shall be a maximum of 50 feet from main <br />building entrances and be highly visible from adjacent bicycle routes and pedestrian <br />traffic. <br />Public Improvement Design Standards Manual, 2016 Page 2-9 <br />
