Eliminate residential drug and alcohol treatment for 37 high- <br />risk boys per year and one year of aftercare services when <br />treatment ends. <br />? Boys would most likely return to the community and local <br />school system. <br />Urban/Rural Impacts: <br />? 19 youth served from Eugene. <br />? 10 youth served from Springfield. <br />? 8 youth served from rural Lane County including Cottage <br />Grove, Florence, Veneta, Junction City and Oakridge. <br /> <br />Juvenile Forest Work Crews <br />Reductions/Eliminations: <br />? Eliminate program which provides 500 hours of community <br />service work for federal forest lands, $16,000 in restitution to <br />victims each year, and 50 youth with job training and skill <br />development. <br />Urban/Rural Impacts: <br />? 26 youth served from Eugene. <br />? 13 youth served from Springfield. <br />? 11 youth served from rural Lane County including Cottage <br />Grove, Florence, Veneta, Junction City and Oakridge. <br /> <br />Alcohol/Drug/Offender <br />Treatment Services <br />Reductions/Eliminations: <br />? The Methadone Program would terminate treatment for 44 <br />people. <br /> ? The Sex Offender Treatment Program would terminate services <br />to 16 convicted sex offenders. <br /> ? The Evaluation/Referral & Monitoring Program would no <br />longer provide services for domestic violence or drug offenders, <br />and would only be able to do evaluations and referrals for <br />people convicted of DUII. <br /> ? Buckley House would eliminate sobering services to 1,310 <br />individuals per year and discontinue medically monitored detox <br />services for about 300 people per year. <br /> ? Eliminate contract for residential drug treatment for 15 <br />supervised female offenders, and outpatient drug treatment for <br />17 supervised offenders per year. <br />Urban/Rural Impacts: <br />? Of the clients at Buckley House, about 90% come from Eugene, <br /> <br />and 7% from Springfield. <br /> Generally, in the alcohol and drug treatment services in Lane <br />County, approximately 53% of clients are from Eugene, 24% from <br />Springfield, 5% from Cottage Grove, and the balance from other <br />parts of the County. <br /> <br />Jail <br />Reductions/Eliminations: <br />? There are 507 beds at the jail and 107 are closed due to <br />insufficient funding. Of the remaining operational beds, 221 are <br />contracted (US Marshal, SB 1145, Eugene Muni Court, and <br />h:\data\cao\sp\08027Impacts/T 3 <br /> <br />
