MEMORANDUM 6/6/2008 Page 2 <br /> <br />It is therefore our request that the City Council provide direction to staff to follow the process in ORS 195.034 <br />(Safe Harbor) to determine the coordinated population forecast and initiate the subsequent and necessary <br />amendment to the Metro Plan. <br />RECOMMENDED ACTION: <br />Authorize staff to pursue the Safe Harbor approach (ORS 195.034) to <br />comply with City’s coordinated population forecast obligations under House Bill 3337; and, initiate a post <br />acknowledgment plan amendment of the Metro Plan to adopt these new figures. <br /> <br />Attachment 1, Page 2 <br />
