<br /> <br />ATTACHMENT E <br /> <br />Ms. Hansen reviewed the testimony received at the public hearing regarding fence height. <br /> <br />Mr. Hledik, seconded by Mr. Duncan, moved to recommend approval of <br />Amendment 2—Fence Heights for Corner/Double Frontage Lots in Residential <br />Zones, with the added provision that the fence height limit be moved to the front <br />of the house line. <br /> <br />Mr. Lawless still had concerns about diminishing usable private property on corner duplex lots. <br /> <br />The motion passed unanimously, 7:0. <br /> <br />Amendment 12—Exclude Area within Private Streets from Residential Lot Areas <br /> <br />Ms. Hansen stated that testimony had been received with the person who had initiated this amendment, <br />who asked that alleys be added to the language. <br /> <br />Mr. McCown, seconded by Mr. Lawless, moved to recommend approval of <br />Amendment 12—Exclude Area within Private Streets from Residential Lot Areas, <br />with the inclusion of alleys. The motion passed unanimously, 7:0 <br /> <br />? <br />Policy Choices <br /> <br /> <br />For amendments 5 and 7, Ms. Hansen reviewed the outline provided to the commission and discussed the <br />options before the commission on these particular amendments: <br /> <br />A. Recommend that the City Council not adopt the proposed amendment at this time and defer the <br />topic to the Infill Compatibility Standards project for further consideration to allow for a more <br />comprehensive review and analysis of the issues and policy choices, as well as identification of <br />long term solutions. <br /> <br />B.
