The college <br />offers a wide variety of instructional programs including transfer credit programs, <br />professional tectmical degree and certificate programs, continuing education noncredit <br />courses, programs in English as a Seco:nd Language and International ESL, GED <br />programs, and customized training for local businesses. Classes are offered at many <br />locations, and online classes and telecourses are also available. More than 15,000 <br />students take credit classes at LCC each year. During the 2002-03 school year, 15,299 <br />stude:nts enrolled in credit classes and 19,095 people enrolled in :noncredit classes, iLCC <br />has the third largest enrollment of the 17 community colleges in Oregon. <br /> <br />LCC's Contract Training and customized programs are a major source for education and <br />training that benefits employees and employers. LCC training programs offer skill <br />training for employees and company-specific education and training for employers. LCC <br />has provided customized training in areas such as computer skills, CAD/CAM <br />manufacturing, metallurgy, equipment operation, productivity improvement, English as a <br />second language, and customer service. LCC also has the capacity to create new <br />company-specific training and courses. <br /> <br />LCC also prowides Community iEducation coursework in areas such as business skills, <br />computers, .job and career training, leadership and management, welding, and writing. <br /> <br />Lane Community College Business Development Center <br /> <br />The Business Development Center (BizCenter) provides practical information and a wide <br />range of educational services and resources for business success. The BizCenter provides <br />assistance to established businesses and start-ups. <br /> <br />The following services are provided at the BizCenter:: <br /> <br /> · develop business skills in workshops and classes for owners and employees. <br /> · network with other owners and learn proven business practices in a <br /> comprehensive business management program. <br /> · develop strategies for business improvement with the help of a business advisor. <br /> <br /> <br />
