ATTACHMENT C <br /> <br /> *** Sample *** <br /> <br /> Job Quality Standards Concept <br /> <br />Attractive Wages <br /> <br />Measure: New jobs created must meet or exceed the annual mean (or median) wage <br /> for Lane County Production Occupations, as defined by the Oregon <br /> Employment Department's Standard Occupational Classification (SOC) <br /> system. <br /> <br />Example: After one full year of employment, all new jobs (or a percentage of all <br /> new jobs) must receive an annual wage of at least the current mean (or <br /> median) Production wage for Lane County. <br /> <br />Employee Benefits <br /> <br />Measure: Employee benefits must meet the national average of non-mandated <br /> benefits (i.e. health insurance, holiday, vacation, retirement) as defined by <br /> the Bureau of Labor Statistics. <br /> <br />Example: All new jobs must receive non-mandated benefits, measured as a <br /> percentage of their pay, consistent with the national average. <br /> <br />Job Training and Advancement Opportunities <br /> <br />Measure: Company demonstrates that sufficient training and advancement <br /> opportunities will be available to new employees. (No specific measure <br /> identified at this time). <br /> <br />Example: Company must dedicate a certain percentage of its new employee <br /> compensation to training. Advancement opportunities may be difficult to <br /> measure objectively during the short life of the exemption. <br /> <br /> <br />
