The major <br />[ components of this policy document are: _the written text, which includes goals, findings, and <br /> policies; the Metro Plan Diagram; and other supporting materials. These terms are defined <br /> below: <br /> <br /> 7k ~oal is a broad statement of philosophy that describes the hopes of the people of'the <br /> comnmnity for the fur-ute o [' the community. A goal may never be completelx <br /> attainable, but is used as a point to strive for. <br /> <br /> · An objective is an attainable target that the community attempts to reach in striving to <br /> meet a goal. Some of the in.formation shown <br /> T~he Metro Plan Diagram depicts includes land use desi~nationscategm'ies, thee <br /> metropolitan urban growth boundary, the Metro Plan Plan Boundary (Plan <br /> Boundary), and major transportation corridors. <br /> <br /> The revised goals, objectives, and policies contained in this Metro Plan are not presented in any <br /> particular order of importance. The respective jurisdictions recognize that there are apparent <br /> conflicts and inconsistencies between and among some goals_, objectives, and policies.
