s~9 <br />ORDINANCE N0. 8632 <br />An ordinance amending Section 9 of Ordinance No. 8579 passed by the Common <br />Council December 12, 1938 and approved by the Mayor December 13, 1938 and entitled <br />"An Ordinance prescribing the qualifications and duties of the <br />City Recorder and Assistant City Recorddr of the City of Eugene." <br />THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1: That Section 9 of Ordinance No. 8579 passed by the Common <br />Council December 12, 1938 and approved by the Njayor Deeemb er 13, 1938 entitled <br />"An Ordinance prescribing the qualif ications and duties of the <br />City Recorder and Assistant City Recorder of the City of Eugene" <br />be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />Section 9: There shall be appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the <br />Council one or more persons who are suitable and qualified to act as Assistant <br />Recorder and such office is hereby created; and the compensation of such Assistant <br />Recorder or Assistant Recorders shall be such sum as the Council may determine. <br />fSaid Assistant Recorder or Assistant Recorders shall be under the. direction of the <br />rRecorder and shall act as a Deputy under the Recorder: It shall not be a disqualific <br />~tion for such Assistant Recorder that he shall be employed by the City in any other <br />capacity. <br />Approved by the Mayor this <br />27th day of February, 1940 <br />/s/ ~xx~cx~g~n Elisha Large <br />~ ~~x~~g~~~ Mayor <br />Passed by the Common Council <br />this 26th day of February 1940 <br />,(s/ E~is~t~x3c~g~ C.
