I <br />~~ <br />ORDINANCE N0. 8633 <br />An Ordinance fixing and designating a garbage dumping ground at vahieh all <br />garbage produced or accumulated in the City shall be deposited. <br />WHEREAS, the City of Eugene passed Ordinance No. 8265 on August 24, 1931 <br />and provided in Section 3 thereof that the Council shall fix and designate by ordin- <br />ance a garbage dumpiizg ground at which all garbage produced or accumulated in the <br />City shall be dep osited, and <br />V~REAS, no such official designation has yet been made therefor <br />THEREFORE <br />TIC CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS F0LLOVIS: <br />Section 1. The Common Council does hereby fix and designate what is known a <br />the City garbage dumping ground on South Alder Street beyond the limits of the City <br />of Eugene as the official garbage dumping ground of the City at which all garbage <br />produced or accumulated in the City shall be deposited. <br />Section 2. ti~dhereas, garbage is being hauled and dumped in various places <br />contrary to the provisions of the general garbage ordinance and in such a manner as <br />to affect the sanitary conditions of the city, <br />It is therefore declared that an emergency exists and it is necessary to the <br />immediate preservation of the peace, health and safety of the City of Eugene that <br />this ordinance take effect upon its passage by the Common Council and its approval <br />by the Mayor, and it is so ordered. <br />Passed by the Common Council <br />this 11th day of March,1940 <br />/s/ C.
