93 <br />Section 5. Whereas, the area sought to be vacated is not used as a <br />~II <br />roadway and is costly and dangerous to maintain, andserves no ,property, the <br />Common Council of the City of Eugene deems it necessary in the interest of the <br />City that said portion of street be vacated, and an emergency is hereby declared <br />~~tv exist and it is declared to be necessary for the immediate preservation of the <br />peace, health and safety of the Gity of Eugene that this ordinance take effect im- <br />mediately upon its passage by the Common Council and its approval by the Mayor, <br />and it is so ordered. <br />i <br />Passed by the Common Council Approved by the Mayor this <br />this 8th day of July, 1940. 9th day of July, 1940. <br />{~ /s~ C .
