<br />An ordinance levying the annual tax levy for the City of Eugene, for the
<br />fiscal year of 1941.
<br />THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOI,LO~eS:
<br />Section 1. That the Common Council of the City of Eugene, Oregon
<br />does hereby make, estimate, determine and declare the amount of money necessary to
<br />be levied and raised by taxation for the purpose of paying all autYiorized demands
<br />for the several departments of the City upon the Treasury of the City of Eugene,
<br />for the ensuing fiscal year of 1941, and does hereby levy the several amounts
<br />therefore, as herein shown, and does hereby make separate appropriation for each
<br />office or building, officer or employee, department, bridge, road, street, highway,
<br />public utility or other purpose, as detailed and itemized herein, pursuant to the
<br />provisions and in the manner provided by law, as follows:
<br />NOTICE OF TAXPAYERS' MEETING
<br />We, the Budget Committee in and for the City of Eugene,
<br />Oregon, heretofore duly appointed under the Arovisions of Chap-
<br />ter 118 of the General-Laws of the State of Oregon for 1921, and
<br />all acts amendatory theretp, do make the following estimates of
<br />receipts and expenditures 'and requirements of the said City of
<br />Eugene for the various departments and segregations and charges
<br />upon the General Fu~of said City, and for the necessary re-
<br />quirements of Interest and Sinking Funds to provide for bonded
<br />indebtedness, and for authorized funds for Playgrounds, Street
<br />Lighting and Electrical Ener~!y, General Bond and Intersection
<br />Interest and Sinking Funds, and make the following estimates
<br />of the amounts of money which will be required to be raised by
<br />taxatio~~~r the expenses of the year 1941, including the probable
<br />recei~s~=af~ said city from sources other than direct taxation, as
<br />follows:
