1~3 <br />IMPROVEMENT ORDINANCE <br />Ordinance N0. 8667 <br />An ordinance to construct a concrete sewer extending South from Cheshire <br />Street in the alley between Lincoln and Lawrence Streets .and serving the herein- <br />~after described property, <br />THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOUdS: <br />Section 1. That the Common Council of the City of Eugene, Lane~County, <br />Oregon, does hereby declare its intention to improve the following described <br />property, to-wit: <br />Beginning 66 feet North of the Northeast corner of Block 1, <br />Sheltons First Addition to Eugene, Lane County, Oregon, run <br />thence West 54 feet, thence North 103 feet, thence East 54 feet, <br />thence South 103 feet to the place of beginning, all in the City <br />of Eugene, Lane County, Oregon. . <br />by constructing a sewer as above described and making such other and further <br />improvements in connection therewith as may be necessary and proper to a <br />properly constructed sewer all in accordance with the plans and specifications to <br />Ibe prepared by the City Engineer as hereinafter specified. <br />Section 2. That the costs of said improvement shall be assessed and be <br />borne by the property abutting upon said improvement, and there shall be included <br />as a part of the costs thereof, the engineer's charges for his services thereon <br />,not to exceed five per cent of the contract price therefor. <br />Section 3. That the city engineer is hereby directed to make and prepare <br />plans and specifications for the said improvement as provided by section one of this <br />Ordinance and file the same with the City Recorder. <br />Passed by the Common Council this <br />9th day of December, 1940 <br />/s/ Elisha Lame <br />Mayor <br />Approved by the i~jayor this <br />9th day of December, 1940 <br />/s/ C.
