1 ~~ 3 <br />ORDINANCE 8693 <br />An Ordinance limiting the area to be oovered by buildings in multiple family <br />residence districts, apartment house districts and single family residence districts, <br />as defined in-the zoning ordinance no. 8413, and repealing Ordinance No. 8625, and <br />declaring a penalty. <br />t+VHEREAS, the crowding of buildings upon lots constitutes a fire hazard, and <br />in apartment house districts and multiple faiaily residence districts, result in the <br />automobiles of occupants being stored upon the streets of the city, <br />THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOVi~S: <br />Section 1. In all single family residence zones, the building or buildings <br />including accessory buildings shall not occupy to exceed 30 per cent of the area <br />of the owner's lot, for an interior lot, and shall not.oceupy to exceed 40 per <br />cent for a corner lot. <br />Section 2. In all multiple family residence districts and in all apartment <br />house districts no l~lore than 60 per cent of the area or lot shall be covered by <br />the building or buildings, including accessory buildings, and excluding garages <br />in both interior and corner lots. <br />Section 3. That Ordinance No;. 8625 passed by the Common Council on the <br />13th day of November, 1939 and approved by the Mayor on the 16th day of November, <br />1939, be and the same is hereby repealed. <br />Section 4.
