2U3 <br />Section 4. The City Recorder shall forthwith and within five days <br />after the first publication of said notice, post o r cause to be posted at <br />or near each end of said proposed vacation, a copy of thef oregoing notice, <br />which shall be headed "Notice of Street Vacation", and which notice shall <br />be posted in at least two conspicuous places in such proposed vacation of <br />such area. <br />The posting and the first day of publication of such notice shall be <br />not less than twenty-eight days before the time set for the hearing. <br />Section 5. 1~Thereas the State xighway Commission together with the City <br />of Eugene and the Public Utilities Commission have combined for the purpose <br />of reconstructing the entire Judkin's Point area at the Eastern City Limits <br />of the City of Eugene eliminating all of the railroad crossings and, <br />tii~hereas it is necessary for the safety of the traveling public of the <br />City of Eugene that these changes shall be made and the crossings eliminated, <br />and, <br />°~hereas the work is nearly completed and the streets are about to be <br />closed, an emergency is hereby declared to ixist and it is necessary for <br />the immediate preservation of the peace, health and safety of the City of <br />Eugene that this ordinance take effect immediately upon its passage by the <br />Common Council and its approval by the hfayor, and it is so ordered. <br />Passed by the Common Council <br />this 26th day of October, 1942. <br />/s/ John Fields <br />City Recorder Pro Tem <br />Approved by the Mayor this <br />28th day of October, 1942. <br />/s/ Elisha Lame u ~ <br />Mayor <br />
