<br />In accordance with the provisions of the "Local Budget Law" (Sections 110-1201 to 110-1215 O. C.
<br />L. A,, as amended) notice is hereby given that the Budget Committee of the City of Eugene, Oregon has
<br />prepared in compliance with the "Local Budget Law" Budget Estimates for the ensuing fiscal year
<br />July Ssb, 1944, to June 30th, 1945. All persons are hereby notified that,- on Monday, July 10th, 1944, at
<br />7:30 P.M. in the Council room in the City Hall building, Eugene, Oregon, the foregoing Budget Esti-
<br />mates for the ensuing fiscal year ending June 30th, 1945, for Eugene, Oregon, may be discussed with the
<br />Common Council, the levying board of the said City of Eugene, Oregon,. and any person" subject to the
<br />proposed tax levy or tax levies will be heard in favor of or against said proposed tax levy or tax levies
<br />or any part thereof. The estimates of expenditures to be required, the estimated miscellaneous revenues
<br />to be received and the estimated taxes on pf operty to be levied as prepared by the Budget Committee
<br />and adopted June 8th, 1944, are set forth in the accompanying statements.
<br />The original estima sheets as required by Section 110-1209: O.C.L.A. have been placed on file in
<br />the Office of the City Recorder • at Eugene, Oregon.

<br />Section 2. That said levy, constituting the General Fund levy in the
<br />sum of X101,913,36 and the levy for special purposes outside of the sic per
<br />cent limitation, in the sum of 162,908.13 and aggregating a total tax levy
<br />of 264,821.49 made against all taxable property within the.City of Eugene,
<br />for the purpose of deriving the fund necessary to carry on the .different
<br />departments, and to meet the expenses of the City Government of said City
<br />for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1944 and ending June 30, 1945, and to
<br />create and provide sinking fund and interest funds for the various outstanding
<br />bonds and obligations of the City. That the Recorder of said City is hereby
<br />directed to certify the said levies as herein made and set forth, to the Cou-
<br />my officers of Lane County, Oregon, as provided by law.
<br />Section 3. That the annual levy of taxes for the City of Eugene, for
<br />the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1944 and ending June 30, 1945 is required
<br />by law to be made by the common council of the City and certified to the
<br />County officers of Lane County, Oregon, before the time of completiltig the tax
<br />rolls, so that the same be extended and the taxes thereon collected at the
<br />same time that other taxes are collected, and that sa3~d levy must be made and
<br />completed and in the hands of said County officers before July 15, 1944, and
