No. 8936. <br />r'ia Grdin~ice vacating the following described area, to-wits <br />The Platted alley extending East acid West through Block 20 <br />Chambers Addition to the City of Eugene, Lane County, Oregon, <br />and bounded by the"Vest Line of Garfield Street-and the East line <br />of Arthur Street in said City of-Eugene. <br />PIHEREAS, heretofore and on July 29, 194b, the CoLmnon Council of tt~e City of <br />Eugene passed an ordinance setting a hearing for the 9th day of September, 1916, at <br />the Council Chambers at which time and place protests and remonstrances could be <br />heard as to the proposed vacaticn of the following premises to-wit; <br />The platted alley extending East ar.d West through Block 20 <br />Chambers Addition to the City of Eugene, Lane County, Oregon, <br />and bounded by the Kest line of Garfield Street and the East line <br />of Arthur Street in said City of Eugene: <br />and, <br />WHEREAS, due notice was duly and regularly given of said heaxz rg and a <br />hearing was held pursuant to said ordinance in the Council Chambers of the City H~11 <br />in Eugene on Monday, the 9th day of September, 191.~.b, at 7 :30 of clock P.M., and at <br />said time the Council heard alI objections; and <br />4''1N..EREAS, all persons owning property abutting upon said alley proposed to <br />be vacated have consented to said vacation and have applied for the same. <br />THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EU GEh E DOES CRDAIN AS FOLLO~IS s <br />Section 1. The Common Council of the City of Eugene finds that due and <br />regular notice of said hearing was published and posted as required by law and that <br />no valid objection has been made at said hearing or filed. That the consent of the <br />owners of the abutting property has been duly and regularly filed in said proceeding <br />and that the pu bliC interest will not Le prejudiced by the vacation, of said portion <br />of alley. <br />Section 2. That said hearing was held on the 9th day of September, 191~b, at <br />7:30 l~elock F.Iut.., in the Council Chambers of the City Hall of Eugene, Lane County, <br />Oregon, and that all matte,,rs necessary to be done in the premises have been duly <br />and regularly completed. <br />Section 3. That the following described area, to-wit: <br />The platted alley extending East and West along Block 20 <br />Chambers Addition to the City of Eugene, Lane County, Oregon, <br />and bounded by the West line of Garfid.d Street and the East line <br />of Arthur Street in said City of Eugene <br />be and the same is hereby vacated and the area so vacated, being a portion of the <br />public alley, shall revert to the abutting property owners pursuant to the statutes of <br />the State of Oregon, and the City of Eugene reserves the right to go upon the area and <br />maintain any public utilities located thereon. <br />Section ~. The Recorder be anal he is hereby directed to file a certified copy <br />of this Ordinance with the Recorder of Lane County, Oregon, together with a map or <br />plat of said property and that a certified copy of this ordinan ce shall be filed with <br />
