<br />~~6 <br />ORDINANCE NO. 8972 <br />An Ordinance levying assessments for the construction of a sewer in the <br />alley between Jefferson and Dltadison Streets from Nineteenth Avenue to Twenty-fourth <br />Avenue. <br />- WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Eugene did by Ordinance No. <br />8926 passed by the said Common Council on the 29th day of July, 19I~6, and approved <br />by the Mayor thereof on the 30th day of July, 19J~.6, determine to construct a sewer <br />in the-alley between Jefferson and Madison Streets from Nineteenth Avenue to <br />Twenty-fourth Avenue in the City of Eugene, and <br />WHEREAS, the improvement above described and designated has been made in <br />accordance with said ordinance and the law in such case made and provided, and the <br />costs and amount thereof to be assessed have been ascertained to be, <br />Amount Paid Contractor X3907,18 <br />Engineering 5~ 195.36 <br />Amount to be Assessed .~ • <br />WHEREAS, notice of the proposed assessment to the owners ar_d reputed <br />I <br />j owners of the hereafter designated parcels of real property having been heretofore <br />j duly and regularly given and in compliance with the provisions of Ordinance No. 1510, <br />passed by the Common Council of the City of Eugene on the 20th day of April, 19]!x. and <br />~ approved by the Mayor thereof on the 21st day of April, 197.L;., and the Common Council <br />having heard any and all protests, objections and remonstrances thereto and having <br />fully considered the same, , <br />- THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLONTS: <br />Section 1. That the total cost of constructing a sewer in the alley bet- <br />wean Jefferson and: Madison Streets from Nineteenth Avenue to Twenty-fourth Avenue <br />in the City of Eugene, Oregon, is the sum of 4.„~.I02.5J~. as aforesaid, which is by this <br />Ordinance assessed against the parcels of, property hereinafter described in the <br />j amounts set opposite respectively. <br />i <br />Section 2.
