The Common Council of the City of Eugene hereby initiates <br /> <br />vacation proceedings on its mrn authority without petition or consent of the property <br /> <br />~rners~ excepting as provided by statute~ of the foll~dng described property, to-wit: <br /> <br />That 'certain platted alley between 7th and 8th Avenue west, <br />extending from Filmore to Almaden street, in the City of <br />Eugene~ Oregon~ except the South 14 feet thereof. <br /> <br />Section 2. A hearing shall be held upon the proposal to vacate the alley <br /> <br /> <br />as herein provided, and sB;id hearing shall be held on the :14th day of July, 1947, at <br /> <br /> <br />the Council Chambers in the City Hall in Eugene, Oregon, at 7:30 o'clock P.M. of <br /> <br />said day, at which time all persons will be heard upon objections or suggestions with <br /> <br />) <br /> <br />reference to the vacation of said portion of alley, and at said time the Council will <br /> <br />provide for the vacation of said premises or deny such vacation, and in case the <br /> <br />vacation is made vrill make provisions for any damages sustaine~, by local assessment. <br /> <br />Section 3. Such notice shall <br /> <br />be given the description of the area to be vacated !'Ls herein set out, and state the" <br /> <br />date when this Ordinance was passed; the name of any petitioners petitioning for said <br /> <br />vacation; the date when the said petition~ together with any objection or remonstrances <br /> <br />which may be made in writing and filed vrith the City Recorder prior to the date of said <br />. <br /> <br />hearing, will be heard and considered. <br /> <br />Section 4.
