618 <br /> <br /> <br />Section 6. The polls shall be opened in each of said polling plates at eight <br />o~clock in the morning and shall be kept open until eight otclock in the evening on <br />said election day. <br />Seetior. 7. The First named Judge of said election board as pro~aided for in this <br />: ordinance shall be Chairman of the board of which he is a member, and the: ballots cast <br />at -said election shalli~be counted, tabulated and returned to the City Recorder as <br />provided by law. <br />Section 8. The City Recorder is hereby authorized and directed to give notice of <br />said election by publication in a ne~rspaper of general circulation in such corporation <br />~ ~ - <br />and in such territory so proposed to be annexed, for the period of four weeks prior to <br />such election, also by posting notices thereof in four public places within such <br />t <br />~ corporation and four public places in the territory proposed to be annexed for a liloe <br />period. Such notice shall distinctly state the proposition to be so submitted and shall <br />( designate especially the boundaries of the territory so proposed to be annexed and the <br />-- -.- <br />~ electors shall be invited thereby to vote upon such proposition by placing upon their <br />I <br />ballots the words "For Annexation" or "Against Annexation". <br />Section 9. The Judges and Clerks, before entering upon the discharge of their <br />r <br />duties at such election shall each take and subscribe before an officer authorized to <br />adminster the same, an oath, that he will honestly and faithfully discharge his duties <br />as such Judge or Clerk.
