<br />An Ordinance levying assessments for the construction of cement sidewalks on the
<br />East and u'Uest sides of Van Buren Street between Tvrelfth Avenue West and Thirteenth

<br />Avenue Vilest, in the City of Eugene, •Z;ane County, Oregon.
<br />ti~JI~REAS, the Common Council of the City of Eugene did, by Ordinance Ido. 9001,
<br />passed by the Common Council on the 12th day of May, 191.x.7, and approved by the Mayor
<br />thereof on the 13th day of May, 191.i.7, determine to construct cement sidewalks on the
<br />East and West sides of Van Buren Street between Ttivelfth Avenue West and Thirteenth
<br />Avenue Vlest, in the City of Eugene; and,
<br />WHEREAS, the improvement above described and designated has been made in accordance
<br />with said Ordinance and the law in such case made and provided, and the costs thereof,
<br />and amount to be assessed, have been ascertained to be:
<br />Amount paid Contractor, ~ 792.29
<br />Engineering charge, 5~ 39.61
<br />Amount to be assessed ~ 531:9'S
<br />I'VHEREAS, notice of the proposed assessment to the owners and reputed a~rners of the
<br />hereafter desi gria.ted parcels of real property having been heretofore duly and regularly
<br />given and in compliance with the provisions of Ordinance No. 1510, passed by the Common
<br />Council of the City of Eugene on the 20th day of April, 1911.x., and approved by the Mayor
<br />thereof on the 21st day of April, 197.1.x., and the Common Council having heard any and all
<br />protests, objections and remonstrances thereto and h~.ving fully considered the same,
<br />THE CITY OF FU L ~ DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOV~tS:
<br />Section 1. That the total cost of constructing cement sidewalks an the East and
<br />West sides of Van Buren Street between Twelfth Avenue West and Thirteenth Avenue Vlest,
<br />in the City of Eugene, Oregon, is the sum of X831.90, as aforesaid, which is by this
<br />Ordinance assessed against the parcels of property hereinafter described in the amounts
<br />set opposite, respectively.
<br />Section 2. That the Common Council of the City of Eugene, Oregon, does hereby
<br />determine and assess oath lot and part of lot, being in Eugene, Lane County, Oregon,
<br />to-wit:

<br />Commencing at the intersection of the North line of Thirteenth Avenue West
<br />and the West line of Van Buren Street, running thence North 55 feet, thence
<br />West 71 feet, thence South 55 feet, thence East 71 feet to the place of
<br />beginning 103.95
