<br />An Ordinance levying assessments for the paving of Lawrence Street f rom Seventeenth Avenue
<br />to Nineteenth Avenue, in the City of Eugene, Lane County, Oregon. ~

<br />WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Eugene did by Ordinance No. 8997, passed by the
<br />said Common Council on the 12th day of May, 1947, and approved by the Mayor thereof on May/~,
<br />194?, determine to pave Lawrence Street from Seventeenth Avenue to Ninetbenth Avenue, in the
<br />City of Eugene, Lane County, Oregon; and
<br />WHEREAS, the improvement above described and designated has been made in accordance with

<br />said Ordinance and the law in such case made and provided, 2nd the costs thereof and amount to
<br />be assessed have been ascertained to be,
<br />Amount paid contractor, $10,669.95
<br />5~ Engineering charge 533.50
<br />Amount assessed property X11,203.45
<br />WHEREAS, notice of the proposed assessment to the owners and reputed owners of the herein-
<br />after designated parcels of real property having been heretofore duly and re gularly given and
<br />in compliance with the provisions of Ordinance No. 1510, passed by the Common Council f~f the
<br />City of Eugene on the 20th day of April, 1914, and approved by the Mayor thereof on the 21st
<br />day of April, 1911+, and the Common Council having heard any and all protests, objections and
<br />remonstrances thereto and having folly considered the same.
<br />,THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:

<br />That the total cost of paving Lawrence Street from Seventeenth Avenue to Nineteenth Avenue, ,
<br />in the City of Eugene, is the sum of X11,203.45 as aforesaid, which is by this Ordinance
<br />assessed against the parcels of property hereinafter described in the amounts set opposite,
<br />respectively.
<br />.Section 2. That the Common Council of the City of Eugene, Oregon, does hereby determine

<br />and assess each lot and part of lot being in Eugene, Lane County, Oregon, to-wit:
<br />1. HUBERT E. TOTMAN and GEORGEINA TGTMAN:
<br />Beginning at the northwest corner of Lot 1 in Block 5 of Hendricks Amended
<br />Add. to Eugene, Oregoh, as platted and recorded at page 52 of volume 2, Lane
<br />.County Oregon Plat Records, and running thence East along the South line of
<br />17th Street to a point 100 feet West of the Northeast corner of said lot,
<br />thence South 70 feet, thence West 50 feet and thence North 70 feet to the '
<br />point of beginning, in Lane County, Oregon. $526.73
<br />2. JOSEPH EARL STEEPLE AND WINIFRED STEEPLE:
<br />Beginning at a point 70 feet South of the Northwest corner of Lot 1 in Block
<br />5 of Hendricks Amended Add. to Eugene, Oregon, as platted and recorded at
<br />page 52 of volume 2, Lane County Oregon Plat Records, thence East 50 feet;
<br />thence South 50 feet;. thence West 50 feet; thence North 50 feet to the point '
<br />of beginning, being situated in Lot 2 in Block 5 of Hendricks Amdnded Add. to
<br />Eugene, Oregon, in Eugene, Lane County, Oregon. 376.24

<br />Beginning at the Northwest co rner of Lot No. 3 in Block No. 5 running thence
<br />East 150 feet, thence South 50 feet, thence West 150 feet, thence North 50

<br />as platted and recorded at page 52 of volume 2, Lane County Oregon Plat

<br />Beginning at a point 150 feet North of the Southwest corner of Lot 6 in Block
<br />5 of Hendricks Amended Add. to Eugene, Oregon, as platted and recorded at page
<br />52 of volume 2, Lane County Oregon Plat Records, and running thence Borth 40
<br />feet; thence East 150 feet; thence South 40 feet and thence West 150 feet to
<br />the. point of beginning, being parts of lots 3 and 4 in block 5 of Hendricks
