~~~~ <br />IlVIPRO~E~E~T~ ®R,I)~1vA1~TCE <br />OJ[~DINANCE NO. 9X98 <br />An Ordinance to improve Alder Street from 'I~~renty-seventh to Tvrenty~eighth <br />Avenue in the City of E~zgene, Oregon, by installation of integral curb concrete <br />paving, or asphaltic concrete paving with combination curb and gutter, and grading <br />and drainage, and the construction of sidewalks, <br />THE CITY.OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. That the Common Council of the City.of Eugene, Lane county, Oregon, does hereby declare <br />its intention to improve Alder Street from Twenty-seventh to Twenty-eighth Avenue i-n <br />the City of Eugene, Oregon, by ins tallation of integral curb concrete paving, or <br />asphaltic concrete paving with combination curb and gutter, and grading and drainage <br />thereof, and the construction of sider•~alks, <br />and making such other and further improvements in connection therewith as may be necessary and proper <br />to a properly paved street all in accordance with the plans and specifica- <br />tions to be prepared by the city engineer as hereinafter specified. <br />Section 2. That the costs of said improvement shall be assessed and be borne by the property adjacent <br />to said improvement, except street intersections whichwill be paid for by the city, and there shall be included <br />as a part of the costs thereof, the engineer's charges for his services thereon not to exceed five per cent <br />of the contract price therefor. <br />Section 3. That the city engineer is hereby directed to make and prepare plans and specifications for <br />the said improvement as provided in Section One of this Ordinance and file the same with the City Recorder. <br />Section 4.
