~~~~ IlVIPRO~E~E~T~ ®R,I)~1vA1~TCE OJ[~DINANCE NO. 9X98 An Ordinance to improve Alder Street from 'I~~renty-seventh to Tvrenty~eighth Avenue in the City of E~zgene, Oregon, by installation of integral curb concrete paving, or asphaltic concrete paving with combination curb and gutter, and grading and drainage, and the construction of sidewalks, THE CITY.OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That the Common Council of the City.of Eugene, Lane county, Oregon, does hereby declare its intention to improve Alder Street from Twenty-seventh to Twenty-eighth Avenue i-n the City of Eugene, Oregon, by ins tallation of integral curb concrete paving, or asphaltic concrete paving with combination curb and gutter, and grading and drainage thereof, and the construction of sider•~alks, and making such other and further improvements in connection therewith as may be necessary and proper to a properly paved street all in accordance with the plans and specifica- tions to be prepared by the city engineer as hereinafter specified. Section 2. That the costs of said improvement shall be assessed and be borne by the property adjacent to said improvement, except street intersections whichwill be paid for by the city, and there shall be included as a part of the costs thereof, the engineer's charges for his services thereon not to exceed five per cent of the contract price therefor. Section 3. That the city engineer is hereby directed to make and prepare plans and specifications for the said improvement as provided in Section One of this Ordinance and file the same with the City Recorder. Section 4.
