That Section XX of Ordinance No. 9188, which was passed by the Common Council of <br />i <br />the City of Eugene on June 28, 1948, and approved by the Mayor of the City of Eugene on the <br />29th day of June, 1948, be, snd that the same is hereby amended to read as follovrs, to-wit: <br />SEC TIOPd XX RI. GH T OF' APPEALS <br />Property ovrners, or interested persons, may appeal a decision of the Building Inspector <br />i <br />to the City Manager within thirty days. Matters reserved to the Board of Appeals and adjust- <br />ments for variation may be <br />said Common Council of the <br />from any of the provisions <br />by the Common Council shal <br />Planning Commission. <br />Sart.i nn ~ _ <br />further appealed to the Common Council of the City of Eugene, and <br />City of Eu€;ene shall have the right and power to grant variances <br />of this ordinance . All matters requiring determination of policy <br />1 take the usual procedure of first being submitted to the City <br />WHEREAS, various citizens of the City of Eugene are being~.dversely affected by the en- <br />forcement of Ordinance P1o. 9188, as the same is now drawn, an emergency is therefore declared <br />to exist, and it is declared to be necessary for the immediate preservation of the peace, <br />health and safety of the City of Eugene that this Ordinance take effect upon its passage by <br />the Common Council and its approval by the mayor, and it is so ordered. <br />Passed by the Commoh Council <br />this 22nd day of November, 1948 <br />/s/ Henry F.
