<br />An Ordinance vacating the following described property, to-wit:
<br />Fourteenth Street E st betvreen the easterly line of University Street and the
<br />Westerly line of Onyx Street, in the City of Eugene, Lane County, State of Oregon,
<br />and the alley, running North and South in the block bounded by Thirteenth Avenue
<br />and Fourteenth Avenue, and University and Onyx Street.
<br />VIHEREAS, heretofore and on the 11th day of October, 1948, the Common Council of the City
<br />1
<br />of Eugene passed an Ordinance setting a hearing for November 22, 1948, in the Council-Chambers
<br />at which time and place protests and remonstrances could be heard as to the vacation of the
<br />following premises, to-writ:
<br />Fourteenth 'Str~.:et T~;ast between the easterl:_y line of University Street and the
<br />westerly line of Onyx Street, in the City of Eugene, Lane County, State of Oregnn,
<br />and the alley running North and South in the block bounded by Thirteenth Avenue
<br />and Fourteenth Avenue, and University and Onyx Street.
<br />I~tHEREA5, a hearing; eras held pursuant to said Ordinance i.n the Council Chambers in the
<br />City Hall in the City of Eugene on November 22, 1948, at 7:30 o'clock P.M. and at said time the
<br />L'ouncil hear all objections; ~rynd
<br />~YHEFtEAS, all persons ovrning property abutting; upon said area have consented to said va-
<br />cation:
<br />THE CITY OP' EUGENE DiJES ORDAIN AS FOL~WS:
<br />Section 1. The Common Council of the City of Eugene finds that due and legal notice
<br />of the said hearing w<is published and posted as required by law; that no valid objection to
<br />said vacation has been made at said hearing, or filed; that the consent of the owners of the
<br />abutting property, properly acknowledged, has been filed in said proceedings; and that the
<br />public interest will not be prejudiced by the vacation of said area.
<br />Section 2. That said hearing was held on ovember 22, 1948, at 7:30 o'clock P.M. in
<br />~!
<br />the Council Chambers of the City Hall in Eugene, Lane County, Oregon, and no objections or
<br />remonstrances were made or filed.

<br />Section 3. That the following described area, to-writ:
<br />Fourteenth Street East between the easterly line of University Street and the
<br />westerly line of Onyx Street, in the City of Eugene, bane County, State of Oregon,
<br />and the a]_ley running North and youth in the block bounded b~T Thirteenth Avenue
<br />and Fourteenth Avenue, and University and Onvx Street,
<br />be, and the same is hereb,;T, vacated, and the area so vacated, being a portion of a s treet,
<br />shall revert to the abutting property pursuant to the statutes of the State of Oregon, re-
<br />serving the right for the City to maintain, repair and operate its public utilities.
<br />Secti on 4. The recorder be, and he is hereby, directed to file a certified copy of this

<br />Ordinance vrith the County Clerk of Lane County, together with a map or plat of said property,
<br />and that a certified copy of the Ordinance shall be filed with the L'ounty Assessor, and another
<br />certified copy of the Ordinance shall be filed with the County Surveyor.
