That the ,Commmon ;Council af~~t~e ,Citycof ~ugene,.Lane~equnty,•Oregon, does hereby declare <br />its intention to improve Seventeenth Avenue from Fr~.endly to Polk Street in the <br />City of Eugene, Oregon, by installation of integral curb concrete paving, <br />or asphaltic concrete paving; with combinati on curb and gutter, and grading <br />and drainage thereof. <br />and making such other a_nd -further improvements in connection therewith as .may be necessary and proper <br />to a properly paved street all in accordance with .the plans and specifica- <br />tions to be prepared by the city engineer as hereinafter specified. <br />Section 2. That the costs of said improvement shall be assessed and be borne by the property adjacent <br />to saidimprovement, except street intersections whichwill be paid for by the city, and there shall be included <br />as a part of the costs thereof, the engineer's charges for his services thereon not to exceed five per cent <br />of the .contract price therefor. <br />Section 3. That the city engineer is hereby directed to make and prepare plans and specifications for <br />the said improvement as provided in Section One of this Ordinance and file the same with the City Recorder. <br />Section 4.
