I~~~~ <br />IMI'ROVEMEN~ ORDINANCE <br />ORDINANCE NO. 929 <br />An Ordinance to improve Jefferson Street from Nineteenth Avenue YJ'est to Twenty-feurth <br />,pvenue {~st in the City of Eugene, Oregon, by installation of integral curb concrete <br />paving, or. asphaltic concf~ete paving vrith combination curb and Batter, and grading <br />and drainage thereof, <br />THE CITY .OF .EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS <br />Section 1. That the Common Council of the City of Eugene, Lane county, Oregon, does hereby declare <br />its intention to improve Jefferson Street from Nineteenth Avenue ll~est to Twenty-fourth Avenue <br />1P1es t <br />and making such other and further improvements in connection therewith 'as may be necessary and proper <br />to a properly paved street all in accordance with the- plans and specifica- <br />tions to be prepared by the city engineer as hereinafter specified. <br />Section 2. That the costs of said improvement shall be assessed and be borne by the property adjacent <br />to said improvement, except street intersections whichwill be paid for by the city,' and there shall be included <br />as a part of the costs thereof, the engineer's charges for his services thereon not to exceed five per cent <br />of the contract price therefor. and not to exceed five per cent of the contract price to cover <br />t~g ~f interest on warrants, -advertising, postage and supplies for mailix~ notices of <br />`S~ ~ 3. That the city engineer is hereby directed to make and prepare plans and specifications for <br />the said improvement as provided in Section One of this Ordinance and file the same with the City Recorder. <br />Section 4.
