2`~6 <br />. <br />ORDINANCE N0. 9304 <br /> <br />pn Ordinance amending Ordinance No. 9188, entitled -+pn Ordinance to create or divide the Ci <br />into districts within some of which it shall be lawful, and ~. thin others of which it shall be <br />unlawful tp erect, construct, alter, or maintain certain buildings, or to carry on certain trades <br />or calling; to limit the height and bulk of future buildings; to provide. for setback lines, size <br />of yards, and other spaces; to establish minimum lot sizes; to provide for automobile parking <br />facilities; to provide for the enforcement, adjustment, and amendment thereof; and to prescribe <br />penalties for tts violation in the City of Eugene, Oregon; and to repeal Ordinance 1'~0: 8413 <br />and all amendments thereto, and Ordinances 6992, 8693, 8700--, which was passed by the Common Ii <br />Council on June 28, 1948, and approved by the Mayor on June 29, 1948, by adding to Section XI I <br />Paragraph p., Self-service laundries, and establishing certain xestrictionsupon self-service <br />laundries. <br />THE CITY OF EUGEPJE DOES ORDAIN AS FbLIAV1S: <br />Section 1. That self-service laundries, including launderettes and w ashaterias, ahall ~ <br />be classified in the C-2 Ne' hborhood Commercial District classifica 'on b t t ~' <br />~.g ti , u tha any self- <br />service Commercial District classification, but that any self-service laundry which shall not <br />meet the following requirements shall be classified in the M-2 Light Industrial classification, <br />to-wit: <br />1. Self-service laundry shall not operate a pickup and delivery service, but shall be <br />limited to the self-service principal where the customer brings his clothes to the laundry for <br />washing and either washed said clothes himself or picks them up at the laundry after the same <br />have been washed. <br />2. The washing machines, ironers and any other equipment in the self-service laundry l' <br />shall be of the home t and shall not be an lar er or of an other desi ,j <br />ype y g. y gn other than the <br />I <br />equipment commonly used in the home. jI <br />Clothes dr {~ff <br />3. yers shall be restricted to direct fired hot air machines, using gas, oil li <br />or electricity. <br />4 . All self-service laundries shall b e h~~used ih b ui..ldings with waterproof floors . <br />Section 2 . All Ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are herewith re- <br />pealed. <br />Section 3. A person, firm, or corporation violating any of the provisions of this Ord- <br />finance shall upon conviction thereof be punished by a fine of not more than two hundred <br />dollars 0200.00), and in default of payment theroof, by imprisonment for one day for each <br />two dollars 02.00) of such unpaid fine. Each such person, firm, or. corporation shall be <br />deemed guilty of a separate offense for each and every day during ahy portion of which any vio- <br />lation of any provision of this Ordinance is committed or continued by such person, firm or <br />corporation, and shall be punished accordingly, <br />Section 4.
