Declares emergency, effective on passage. 2/24 <br /> Requires Director of Department of Consumer and Business Services to e~stablish building code <br /> administrative regions for all areas of state. Provides for appointment of department employees for <br /> each region to administer and enforce state building code within region. Imposes surcharge on <br /> permit fees and hourly charges to defray costs of administering and enforcing state building code. <br /> SB 0421 3 Oppose Declares emergency, effective on passage. 2/24 <br /> Requires percentage of estimated total cost of all urban renewal projects proposed to be <br /> undertaken under urban renewal plan to be for affordable housing. Requires amendment to existing <br /> plans to provide for percentage of total costs of projects to be for affordable housing. Permits <br /> municipality to opt out of affordable housing requirements if governing body of municipality finds thai <br /> adequate supply of affordable housing exists and will continue to exist in plan area.
