I~~ <br />ITVIPROVElVIENT ORDI1\TAloTCE <br />ORDINANCE NO. x325 <br />An Ordinance to improve the East side of Chambers Street between Eleventh Avenue and <br />Thirteenth Avenue by constructior. of` a concre~.e side*-ralk ~..nd excluding there- <br />from such z~raln as is nwr in place. _ <br />THE CITY _OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS <br />Section 1. That the Common Council of .the City of Eugene, Lane county, Oregon, does hereby declare <br />its intention to improve the East side of Chambers Street betvreen Eleventh Avenue end <br />Thirteenth Avenue by constructing a oor_crete sidewalk and excluding therefrom <br />such i~ralk as is now in place, <br />and making such other and further improvements in connection therewith as may be necessary and proper <br />to a properly paved v~alk all in accordance with the plans and specifica- <br />tions to be prepared by the city engineer. as hereinafter specified. <br />Section 2. That the costs of said improvement shall be assessed and be borne by the property adjacent <br />to said improvement, x.¢.~h+irrlaw~l~sh and there shall be included <br />as a part of the costs thereof, the engineer's charges for his services thereon not to exceed five per cent <br />of the contract price therefor. and not to exceed five per cent of the contract price to cover the <br />cost of interest on ~r~arrants, advertising, postage and supplies for mailing notices of asses <br />Section 3. That the city engineer is hereby directed to make and prepare plans and specifications for <br />the said improvement as provided in Section One. of this Ordinance and file the same with the City Recorder. <br />Section 4.
