~~~~~ <br />IIVII'ROVElVIENT ORDINANCE <br />ORDINANCE NO. 93~ <br />An Ordinance to improve West sideof Chambers Street bstVreen Eleventh Avenue and Six- <br />teenth Avenue excluding therefrom such walk as is notir in place. <br />THE CITY.OF -EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS <br />Section 1. That the Common Council of the City of Eugene, Lane county, Oregon, does hereby declare <br />its intention to improve V[~est side of Chambers betti~reen Eleventh Avenue and Sixteenth Avenue <br />excluding therefrom such v~ralk as is now in place. <br />and making such other and further improvements in connection therewith as may be necessary and proper <br />to a properly paved sidewalk all in accordance with the plans and specifica- <br />tions to be prepared by the city engineer as hereinafter specified. <br />Section 2. That the costs of said improvement shall be assessed and be borne by the property adjacent <br />to said improvement~~~ idag}c and there shall be included <br />as a part of the costs thereof, the engineer's charges for his services thereon not to exceed five per cent <br />of the contract price therefor. and not to exceed five per .cent of the contract .price to cover the <br />cost of interest on watrants, adT~ertising, postage and supplies for mailing notices of asses <br />Section 3. That the city engineer is hereby directed to make and prepare plans and specifications for <br />the said improvement as provided in Section One of this Ordinance and file the same with the City Recorder. <br />Section 4. WHEhe improvement contemplated and provided for by this ordinance, is a necessary <br />improvement, and the s to be improved are in such a condition that their immediate improvement is <br />essential to their safety, it is, therefore, declared that an emergency exists and that it is necessary for the <br />immediate .preservation of the public peace, health and safety, that this ordinance take effect at once, and <br />it is ordered that this act shall take .effect. immediately upon its passage by the Council and approval by <br />the Mayor. <br />Approved by the Mayor this <br />---------lOthday of--- It~Iay -------------------------------------~ 19-- <br />~s~ V.
