That the Common Council, of the City of Eugene, L~ne ounty, Oregon, doe here~y, diclar~ <br />its intention to improve East Twenty-fifth ,avenue, previous y P~Iymmer .avenue, rom rail. ame to <br />rent, two bl.oclcs East in the City of Eugene, Oregon, by installation of integral curb concrete <br />ving, or asn_ haltic,^concrete ;paving with com~binati on curb anal. gutter and greding and drainage <br />ereof, <br />and making such other and further improvements in connection therewith as '.may be necessary and proper <br />to a properly. paved st~~eet all in accordance with the plans and specifica- <br />tions to be prepared by the city engineer as hereinafter specified. <br />Section 2. -That the costs of said improvement shall be assessed and be borne by the property adjacent <br />to said improvement, except street intersections whichwill be paid for by the city, and there shall be included <br />as a part of the costs thereof, thhe a gi eer's cha g s or services the eon,not tto e~~ e per dent <br />of the contract price therefor. and nont ~o exceed ye ~ ofh~s}-ie c ar~.tractr price to __.: ~~~' ~~e aaos of <br />interest on vrarratns, advertising, Hostage and supplies for mailing notices of assessments. <br />Section 3. That the city engineer is hereby directed to make and prepare plans and specifications for <br />the said improvement as provided in Section One of this Ordinance and file the same with the City Recorder. <br />Section 4. WIiEREAS, the improvement contemplated and provided for by this ordinance, is a necessary <br />improvement, and the streets to be improved are in such a condition that their immediate improvement is <br />essential to their safety, it is, therefore, declared that an emergency exists and that it is necessary for the <br />immediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety, that this ordinance take effect at once, and <br />it is ordered that this act shall take effect immediately upon its passage by the Council and approval by <br />the Mayor. <br />Approved by the Mayor this <br />--_-2?tth-----day of---------~dI-ay-•----~ <br />/s/ V.
