~~~ . <br />Ill~IPI~OVEMENT OI~,DINANCE <br />ORDINANCE NO. 4~, 9 <br />An Ordinance to improve East side of Hilyard Street het-r,een Twenty-third Avenue <br />and Twenty fourth Avenue by construction of concrete sidewalk ands=~ excluding <br />the existing walk, <br />THE CITY-OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. That the Common Council of the City of Eugene, Lane county, Oregon, does hereby declare <br />its intention to improve East side of Hilyard Street between Twenty-third Avenue and Ttiventy- <br />fourth Avenue by construction of ooner<.=.te sidewalk and excluding the existing <br />walk, <br />and making such other and further improvements in connection therewith as may be necessary and proper <br />to a properly Waved walk all in accordance with the plans and specifica- <br />tions to be prepared by the city engineer as hereinafter specified. <br />Section 2. That the costs of_said improvement shall be assessed and be borne by the property adjacent <br />to said improvement, ~~~~~~c~t~cand there shall be included <br />as a part of the costs thereof, th en i eer's char e .for his servi es h eon no to xcee~l fiv per cent <br />of he ontr ct ~r ce therefor. ~~ no~ ~o exceed five per centc oft ~~ie con~rac~ pr~.ce ~o cover the <br />cosh o~ ln~'er,.s't on warrants, advertising, postage and supplies for mailing notices of asses <br />Section 3. That the city engineer is hereby directed to make and prepare plans and specifications for <br />the said improvement as provided in Section One of thi's Ordinance and file the same with the City Recorder. <br />sidewalks <br />Section 4.
