When it came to providing existing parks with additional funding for maintenance and operations, 59% <br />preferred a temporary funding measure voted on every five years while just one in three (33%) called for <br />a permanent funding system ove (Q21). <br />Source: DHM Research, October 2016 <br />This preference was consistent across all demographics, though was particularly pronounced among <br />Republicans (82%), those who had voted in two or fewer of the last four elections (75%), and those with <br />household incomes of less than $50K (71%). <br />Finally, 53% preferred that those who can afford more, pay more for parks and recreation services, <br />compared to 34% who wanted all to pay equally (Q22). <br />Source: DHM Research, October 2016 <br />Democrats strongly preferred that those who can afford more, pay more (65%). A nearly equal proportion <br />of Republican voters preferred that all pay an equal amount (62%).
