RESOLUTION NO. Lf)/? A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF FUNDS FROM INTERFUND TRANSFER TO THE PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT The City Council of the City of Eugene finds that: A. Adopting a Resolution to transfer funds from Interfund Transfer to the Planning and Development Department is necessary under ORS 294.450. B. ORS 294.435(3) stipulates that "The appropriations required (in the budget) ... shall ... contain one amount for each organizational unit... In addition, separate amounts shall be appropriated in each fund for ... interfund... transfers ..." C. ORS 294.435(4) states that "... no greater expenditure ... of public money shall be made for any specific purpose than the amount appropriated therefor except as provided in ORS ... 294.450 ..." D. ORS 294.435(6) states that "Nothing contained in this section shall preclude a governing body during the fiscal year by appropriate ... resolution ... from adjusting budgeted resources ..." E. ORS 294.450(1) states that "...transfers of appropriations may be made within a given fund when authorized by official resolution ... of the governing body." F. The expenditures related to the transfers indicated on Exhibit "A" attached hereto, and by this reference incorporated herein, have been determined necessary for the efficient operation of the City. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EUGENE, A Municipal Corporation of the State of Oregon, as follows: Section 1. That the transfer of funds from Non-Departmental I nterfu nd Transfer to the Planning and Development Department for the City of Eugene, Oregon, for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1996, and ending June 30, 1997, as set forth in the attached Exhibit "A" is hereby approved and authorized. Section 2. That the amounts reflected for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1996, and ending June 30, 1997, are hereby appropriated for the purposes shown in the attached Exhibit "A". Resolution - 1
