<br />o Bikeways <br /> <br /> <br />Design Guidelines <br /> <br />1) Striped bicycle lanes are the preferred bikeway <br />design choice for arterial and major collector <br />streets to provide a high level of mobility for <br />bicyclists. A shared roadway generally is sufficient <br />for Neighborhood Collector streets. <br /> <br />2) An interconnected street system is an impor- <br />tant factor in providing convenience and conti- <br />nuity of travel for bicyclists. <br /> <br />3) On-street bicycle lanes and off-street paths <br />will be constructed in those locations indicated <br />in adopted plans.* <br /> <br />4) Bicycle signing and pavement markings <br />should be consistent throughout the bikeway <br />system per the 1995 Oregon Bicycle and Pedes- <br />trian Plan guidelines. <br /> <br />5) Curb inlets are the preferred design option for <br />storm water facilities.
