RESOLUTION NO. 4716 A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE OREGON BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT FUND PROJECT PROPOSAL OF FORREST PAINT, INC. The City Council of the City of Eugene finds that: A. ORS 285B.050 to ORS 285B.098 authorizes the Oregon Economic and Community Development Commission to make loans for business development projects, and provides for the manner in which the loan program is administered. B. Under the provisions ofORS 285B.059, if a proposed project is to be located within an incorporated city, the governing body of the city must by resolution recommend the project before approval will be granted by the State of Oregon. C. An application for development of the FORREST PAINT building has been submitted, and the Council finds that the project would assist a locally owned small business, is consistent with applicable adopted local plans, and completion of the building would be in the best interests of the citizens of the City. D. By its recommendation of this Oregon Business Development project the City does not warrant the condition of the applicant nor assume any liability created by the financing of the proj ect. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EUGENE, a Municipal Corporation of the State of Oregon, as follows: Section 1. Based on the above findings, which are adopted herein, the City Council recommends the completion of the development of the FORREST PAINT building located within the City of Eugene, and requests the Oregon Economic & Community Development Commission to assist in the financing of the Project through the Oregon Business Development Fund. Section 2. The City Recorder is requested to forward a certified copy of this Resolution to the Oregon Economic & Community Development Commission, and to the applicant.
