Concept and Materials

ALCOVE FEATURE OPTION #2
As one enters the alcove, the sound of water can be heard. Water softly bubbles up to the surface of a
bowl-shaped cement cast sculpture, forms a sheet of water that trickles over the edge onto the rocks at
its base. This fountain sits on a large oval base that rises up nine inches from the ground. An area 0 f
this base is cut away for a planting area. An elegant Japanese maple accented by a few small plantings
at its base offers a soft counterpoint to the surrounding stone and concrete forms.

PDG - 1010 Obie Street -Eugene, Oregon 97402 - T 541.344.0857 - F 541 .344. 1315 - www.pdgdesign.net

5b
